Priority Registration:

Camp slots are first come, first serve with priority given to current UrbanPromise AfterSchool participants, Summer Camp 2025 returners and Canoga Park residents.

Partial Enrollment?

Camp enrollment is for the full 5-week session, we prioritize campers who attend all 5 weeks of camp and are not able to accommodate registration for select weeks. Rates are not adjusted based on attendance.

ENROLLMENT & SCHOLARSHIPS

We want every child to have a chance to go to camp.

If your family is able to pay for camp, please move forward with enrollment.

If cost is a barrier, we invite you to apply for a scholarship to cover the weekly fee. The majority of our campers are supported this way, and we are committed to making camp accessible for our community. You will be notified if your child is eligible to receive a scholarship.

Please note:

  • Submit one form per camper

  • Choose one path: Enroll or Apply for a Scholarship, not both

  • All campers are required to pay a $100 registration fee, scholarships do not apply to the registration or field trip fees

That $100 registration fee secures your child’s spot for 5 weeks of full-time summer childcare, made possible through the generosity of our community.

All information is confidential and will only be used to determine scholarship support. We are honored to partner with you to give your child a summer that matters.

Camp Pillars @
UrbanPromise

Campers build friendships and are cared for daily by trained teenage StreetLeaders who guide, encourage, and supervise them throughout the program.

Social Connection & Mentorship

StoryLab

Hands-on literacy activities, a competitive summer reading challenge, and personalized book recommendations motivate campers to grow in their reading, finish books and avoid the summer slide.

Hands-On STEM Learning

Campers get to conduct science experiments, play math games, and utilize creative problem-solving through active, engaging, real-world learning.

Imaginative Bible Experiences

Think Vacation Bible School on steroids. Campers step into Bible stories through imagination, movement, and sensory experiences that make faith in Jesus come alive.

Our legacy of showing UP for summer

Summer Wellness

Free Breakfast & Lunch Everyday

All campers receive free breakfast and lunch daily, making sure kids are fueled, cared for, and ready for full days of learning and play.

Physical Activity

Kids stay active all day through daily recreation time, sports, outdoor play, and high-energy group games that keep them moving, laughing, and burning energy in a positive environment.

No-Screen childhood play all day

Camp is designed for real life. Campers spend their days running around, playing outside, working together in group games, and building friendships without screens.

Wellness Classes

Campers can opt-in to participate in wellness-focused classes including cooking, jiu jitsu, and boxing training to build healthy habits through movement.

Field Trips Every Friday!

Help Sponsor Summer Camp 2026!

Sponsor a Camper

It costs UrbanPromise Los Angeles $1,700 to provide five weeks of full-day care for one camper. When you sponsor a child, you’re making it possible for a family in need to access:

  • healthy daily meals

  • trustworthy childcare while they work

  • supplemental learning (STEM, Reading)

  • daily Bible lessons & faith instruction

  • enrichment activities - dance, jiu-jitsu, baking, etc.

  • weekly field trips out of their neighborhood

  • caring teens and adults as positive role models

Youth Employment

UrbanPromise Los Angeles hires and trains local high school students as StreetLeaders and college interns to work full-time at summer camp. These young leaders care for campers, lead activities, and serve as trusted role models throughout the day while receiving mentorship, leadership training, and faith-based support.

By sponsoring a StreetLeader’s paycheck, donors help raise summer wages and invest directly in the growth of a teenager who is showing up daily for children in our community.
